Use the Object Tools to edit objects (trees, houses, etc.) en masse. When you select areas using the Area and Shape Selector Tools, the Object Tools will fill the selections with a random scattering of plants, or swap out bushes for rocks, or delete entire types of trees.
To place an individual object, double-click on its picture in the Objects View, then click on the spot where you want it in the Camera View.
To move an individual object, choose Objects from the Edit menu and drag the object in the Camera View.
To resize an individual object, choose Objects from the Edit menu and right-click on the object in the Camera View. Choose Properties... from the pop-up menu. Change the scale in the dialog box, either by clicking on the up and down arrows or by typing a new number in the text box. Click OK when you're done.
To delete an individual object, choose Objects from the Edit menu and right-click on the object in the Camera View. Choose Delete Object from the pop-up menu.
You cannot delete tee markers or flagsticks.
The Place Objects command lets you place many objects (such as trees, houses and rocks) at once in random patterns to give your course a natural look.
You can't globally place objects on water, fairways, greens or tees. (If you must place carts in lakes, or trees on greens, you'll have place them one at a time, using the mouse.)
Click the Place Objects button to open the Place Objects dialog box.

Click the box in the upper right to bring up a catalog of objects you can place. Choose the object you want and click OK.
Scale
This control regulates the size of the basic object.
Scale Variation
This value controls the range of sizes of the objects you place. If you choose 20, for example, then the objects placed will randomly range in size from 20% smaller than the value in the Scale box to 20% larger. A value of 0% means all the objects would be the same size (no variation); a value of 100% means the objects would range in size from nothing to twice the scale size.
Mirror
This command flips objects so they are mirror images of the selected object. The choices are:
This number shows how many of this object have already been placed in the area that will be affected by the command.
This number shows how many acres there are in the area that will be affected by the command.
If this box is checked, the work area will be only those regions bounded by selection marquees. If this box is not checked, the work area will be the entire course.
This box shows how many objects will be placed in the work area. If you enter a number here, the Course Architect will calculate the values in the Density and Total Density boxes. If you enter a number in one of the other two boxes, the Course Architect will calculate this value for you.
This box shows what the average density (objects/acre) of the selected object will be within the work area. If you enter a number here, the Course Architect will calculate the values in the Amount and Total Density boxes. If you enter a number in one of the other two boxes, the Course Architect will calculate this value for you.
